Lulled by Lea
Had the rare chance of catching Lea Salonga live last night when we attended a doctors’ convention, a large gathering of doctors from all over the country. Lea sang standards and cuts from her musicals for her set to the delight of the audience. Couldn’t help but feel that my heart dropped for awhile while listening to every tune coming from her mouth, notably when she did her version of “someone to watch over me.” Lea is simply a world-class performer, one who doesn’t have to shout to convey the deepest meaning of the songs she’s singing.
