Vicky Cristina Barcelona
I love this movie. Woody Allen once more proves that he’s an authority on intellectual movies about art, life and love. Set in stunning Barcelona, Spain, the movie is all about a wide range of entanglements. Vicky and Cristina (played by Rebecca Hall and my crush Scarlett Johannson), two good friends who are contradictions of each other, travel to Barcelona and cross paths with the flamboyant artist Juan Antonio (Javier Bardem) who happens to be perpetually linked to his beautiful yet insane ex-wife Maria Elena (Penelope Cruz).
The movie has a very romantic texture to it, from the sights and sounds of Barcelona, to the temperamental and tempestuous actions of the stars, passion pulsating like blood on fire.
