I missed dining out with my Hon in restaurants we’ve never been to.  When we got the chance to go to the Morato area in QC, where a lot of new restaurants have sprouted, we made sure to visit Bagoong Club, a quaint restaurant that looks more like a house than a resto.  The target: special bagoong-inspired dishes.  For lunch, we chose to partake of their Bagoong Club combination–with grilled and fried pork in addicting bagoong paste.  The ambiance is rustic, and several photos displayed on the walls suggest its celebrity appeal–with many famous personalities having dined there already.

Will surely go back to Bagoog Club to try out their other stuff.

Had  a post-birthday dinner celebration with my Hon at The Spiral in Sofitel, home of the best and longest buffet in the country.  It highlights almost any cuisine imaginable and the choices are so dizzying that just looking at them will make you full. As expected, I went home loosening my belt.  Fine dining in this luxury hotel with this great food selection is still worth it.   Moreso because we got the dinner 50% off.  Thanks to the discount card that I borrowed from a friend.

Days of indulging are over..Will move on with life after 30 years..

Yesterday wasn’t so good a day since I was stricken by the flu.  Good thing my dinner experience at The Fort changed all that.  We were invited to New Orleans Restaurant for a drug symposium.  To our delight, we were served a very sumptuous meal–from the appetizing salad with meat strips, to the main course of steaks and shrimps with mashed potato, to the cashew-bedecked hell of a chocolate cake.  The interiors that are painted with bright colors and the jazz music-infused ambience add up to the uplifting experience inside the resto which is a sister-resto of Claw Daddy’s, the crustacean haven beside it. 

New Orleans, where great jazz music originated, is alive and bustling in town!
