Would have wanted to watch the reunion concert of the Eheads but it was already too late (Because I’m quite busy with work and school, I forgot to keep track of the concert schedule and failed to secure any ticket. So, the concert already did happen but to my slight relief, I learned that it was cut short by Ely Buendia’s condition which could have been an impending heart attack, given his history.  This is the second time this happened.

I still remember the heydays of the band in the 90s, back in our college days, when we drove ourselves crazy memorizing the lyrics of their songs from Toyang to Ang Huling El Bimbo. Ahh!  Those were the days when life was much simpler and good music was all that we could care for.

I’ll buy the Eraserheads Reunion Concert part 2 tickets, even if it’s double the price, as soon as there will be announcement of this great news.  Hope my idol Ely recuperates fast.

Listening to ”Sleeping through the Static,” the latest release of Jack Johnson, the cool surfer-singer-songwriter…The familiar breezy tune creates a lull in the mind but never fails to deliver a kick to uplift the spirits.  His acoustic songs now come laced with electronic sounds in the background, making them a little less likeable, especially for acoustic purists. Whether for spending some quiet time alone, driving, studying or plain vegetating, this is one great album to stay in my iPod for now.
